Darby Plains Danes<\/strong> goal is to follow the Great Danes Breeders Color Code by breeding forward, never backwards.\u00a0 The Great Dane Club of America recognizes 6 colors of which they are in 3 groups. \u00a0 The Fawn and Brindle, the Harlequin and Mantle,\u00a0the Blue and Black. \u00a0 They have chosen the Harlequin and Mantle Color group for breeding.\u00a0 Which will also produce the Merle and the Blacks (Harlequin bred).\u00a0 Darby Plains Danes screen all of their breeding stock for the Piebald Gene.\u00a0 Many of their dogs have had their hips checked using the PennHIP method.<\/p>\n

Darby Plains Danes are located 25 miles south of Columbus, Ohio about a 1\/4 mile from\u00a0the Big Darby Creek State and National Scenic River. \u00a0 Nearby residents\u00a0call it the “Darby Creek” or just “The Creek”. \u00a0 Summers and falls their Danes look forward to afternoon swims in the creek.<\/p>\n
