Welcome to Lakaya Danes! They are located on 5 Beautiful acres in Gig Harbor, Washington. Chopper is 11 years old and as healthy as a horse. Over the years they have imported a few dogs from some of the TOP show kennels in Russia, Germany, Poland, and Slovenia. They have several European imports here to cross with their Champion American lines.
Tabruka (Russian Import) who is Lakaya Danes’ foundation European import, Bernard (Polish Import), Obe (Slovenian Import). Then they have Roxy who is a beautiful daughter of Chopper and Chelsey, a full sister to AKC CH Lakaya’s Lady Lillian (who is owned and loved by Tia in Maple Valley). Also, sharing their home and farm are 3 cats and horses.
Lakaya Danes specialize in TOP Quality European and American Great Danes. They used to breed both Harlequin and mantle coloration as well as the fawn and brindle coloration. They are now focusing on just Harlequin/Mantle lines. The Great Danes are carefully bred from color pure CHAMPION Lines. They DO NOT cross colors. Lakaya Danes strive to produce quality Great Danes that are “Show” marked but first and foremost they breed for health, temperament, conformation, size, and then color.
