Falling Feather Farm

Welcome to Falling Feather Farm in Chesapeake Virginia. Although they do not raise feathered fowl they found this name suitable. They consider a falling feather a gift from heaven. Hence the name!

Falling Feather Farm breed for intelligence and temperament but as you can see from their past pups their studs throw a big bone and blockheads. The girls are spoiled couch potatoes that go outside upon request. Great Danes are not tolerable to heat or cold and need to be indoor dogs. If you do not intend to share the comfort of your home with your Dane please do not buy.

Falling Feather Farm’s puppies are spoiled from the moment they are born. They feel their touch before they feel their mothers. Falling Feather Farm are with the mothers through the entire birthing process. They help to birth and clean the pups before handing them to the mother. This is also referred to as “imprinting”.

They allow momma dog to care and nurse the pups for the first three days on her own if she has ample milk. This allows them to get the antibodies needed from their mother. After day three they bring to alternate puppies on the bottle. This not only helps the mother it bonds the puppies from a very young age.

The puppies are raised inside our home. They are in the middle of everything and soon become the middle of everything! Falling Feather Farm does its best to paper train the puppies before they go to their new homes. If they have a warm-weather litter they will go on adventures outside starting at 6 weeks of age. Puppies can be sold locally at seven weeks of age. Puppies cannot be shipped before the age of eight weeks.
